Paleolithic Diet: Anything and Everything under the Sun



The Paleolithic Diet or more commonly known as Paleo diet is also tagged as the stone-age diet, caveman diet, and the gatherer-hunter diet. This basically tries to stimulate the diet of animals and wild plants that several human species ate during the ages of Paleolithic. This age began about more than two million years ago and only ended about a several thousand years ago when agriculture was enhanced. In regular usage, the Paleolithic diet is referred to as the actual ancestral human diet. Today’s Paleolithic diet is basically comprised of lean meat, fruit, vegetables, roots, fish, and nuts. Some of the things that do not comprise this diet are dairy products, refined sugar, salt, and processed oils.

This diet was made famous in the early 1970s by Dr. Walter Voegtlin. He used to be a gastroenterologist who shelled out most of his time treating digestive issues. The principle of this famous diet is that individuals, even nowadays, are genetically linked to their Paleolithic descendant’s diet; human genetics has altered in the last twenty thousand years or more. A lot of diets are controversial among physicians and nutritionists. This kind of diet is also controversial among anthropologist too. Advocates claim the health advantages while detractors question whether it precisely mirrors what other people really consume back when and mingle about risks of health.



If you abide the Paleolithic diet, you required drinking water, and if you are not a lover of water, you can also drink lots of tea as well. Alcoholic beverages are not in.
